Day 1 : Welcome to Malaysia

Welcome to Kuala Lumpur, and the start of your culture school trip to Malaysia! After touching down at the airport, you’ll be greeted by your Adventure Leader, who’ll help you transfer to your accommodation. Along the way, they’ll give you a trip briefing, explaining travel plans, offering advice on adapting to local culture, and providing tips on staying safe while on the move.

This afternoon, you’ll spend a half-day exploring the nation’s capital on a sightseeing tour. Along the way, students will discover the unique blend of Muslim,  Chinese, Indian and European culture that makes this city so fascinating. You’ll also get the chance to visit beautiful landmarks of the city, such as the royal residence of the Istana Negara.

This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner before retiring to bed after a busy first day!

After breakfast, you’ll head around 40 miles outside Kuala Lumpur in search of a truly stunning location:
Batu Caves: This vast complex of limestone cliffs, caves, and temples are Hindu shrines that are still an important place of pilgrimage for many of the Tamil residents of Malaysia today. We’ll spend some time exploring here, before we head back into the city.

Genting Highland : Sky Worlds Theme Park – Sky way cable car ride – scenic mountain experience.
Sky Avenue mall and indoor theme park – Students friendly fun and leisure.
The Royal Selangor Visitor Centre offers a glimpse into the world of pewtermaking, with exhibits and workshops on the history of pewter and the craftsmanship behind some beautiful pieces.

Finally, after dinner we’ll pay a visit to Merdeka Square, a historical site where Malaya declare its independence. Spend some time exploring this bustling location, before heading back to the hotel.
